Are you passionate about protecting public health and helping to shape the future of Environmental Health?

With your expertise in environmental health, you’ll act as the lead for food hygiene, public health, health & safety and the learning and development lead for Environmental Health Trainees and Apprentices. You’ll be dedicated to shaping and developing others learning and ensuring they have the tools for success.

You’ll motivate, lead and empower the team by providing advice and guidance, drawing on your expertise and experience of Food Hygiene, Infectious Disease Control, Health and Safety, Public Health and registration associated with the Beauty Sector.  In addition to this, you’ll deputise for the Environmental Health Manager when necessary and aid team development by creating and implementing policies, procedures and reporting on performance.

Your day-to-day duties will include case management, responding to service requests, inspections and investigations and providing technical support to others. You’ll lead, develop and support a variety of ambitious projects and ensure the team retains a strong customer focus, as well as keeping up to date with legislative changes.

We invite applications for a full-time (37 hours) or a part-time (minimum 30 hours) although please note that there is a requirement to be office based (Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks Kent TN13 1HG) for at least 60% of the time and therefore we are unable to consider applicants who wish to undertake remote working.
