Housing Triage and Support Officer

Are you passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for a Housing Triage and Support Officer to join our Housing Options and Solutions team at Sevenoaks District Council.

In this key role, you’ll act as the first point of contact for customers, carrying out rapid initial assessments of their needs and circumstances.

You will:

  • Deliver comprehensive housing advice and guidance to customers
  • Triaging cases effectively, ensuring timely referrals to the right services
  • Provide early interventions, such as mediation and signposting to specialist support
  • Offer coordination and administrative support to strengthen service delivery
  • Contribute to the day-to-day functions of the Housing Options and Solutions team

Your excellent communication skills, empathy, and ability to remain calm under pressure will be essential when working with vulnerable individuals, often in challenging situations. You’ll need to be organised, resilient, and capable of meeting deadlines while delivering a high standard of service.

Hybrid Working:
This role is based at our offices in Sevenoaks, with a hybrid working model of 2–3 days in the office and 2–3 days working from home.
