Scarab Minor Sweeper Driver
Salary: £30,269 - £32,790

Our services ensure that our district remains clean and safe. You’ll work as part of a team and will be responsible for operating a small mechanical street sweeping vehicle to maintain the cleanliness of roads and public areas across the district.

As part of the role, you will follow agreed cleaning schedules, undertake vehicle safety checks, and ensure the sweeper is cleaned and maintained to keep it operating effectively. You may also be required to undertake manual litter picking and support other areas of the service when needed.

You’ll hold a current C1 driving licence and CPC card and be confident driving vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes. Training will be provided on the specific sweeping equipment used.

You’ll be comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather and able to manage the physical aspects of the role when required. A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider team are essential.

You’ll embrace the Council’s values of customer service at all times, displaying a polite and helpful attitude to residents and visitors, while communicating effectively with colleagues.

This role is based at our Dunbrik Depot in Sundridge, working 37 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime.
