Compassionate, energetic, inspirational…
… you have a unique opportunity to join our Strategic Management Team and shape a new role which is designed and dedicated to unleashing the incredible resources that exist within our local communities.
You'll be experienced in working collaboratively with partners, and have the knowledge and ideas to reach all our communities to help us better understand and identify local aspirations and priorities. Importantly you'll be able to demonstrate that you can build community capacity.
There are two things we are aiming for. More community-led solutions that tackle priorities that matter most to local people and better outcomes and improved wellbeing for everyone.
We think this will be achieved through a more joined-up, collaborative and participative approach to services working with all sectors. But we want you and your ideas to help us make our vision a reality.
We'll give you the tools you need to do the job. The role will bring together all of the Council's housing functions alongside those for health and wellbeing. You'll also have responsibility for community development and community safety.
Our one team approach means that you'll have all of the co-operation you need from our Chief Officers to deliver on our ambitions.
With a reward package of up to £107k and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the Sevenoaks District we can't wait to see what you can offer.
For an informal discussion about this role please do contact Mandy Rodgers, PA to the Chief Executive on 01732 227298 who would be pleased to arrange for you to speak with Pav Ramewal, Chief Executive.
The recruitment timetable is:
Longlist Meeting - Wednesday 16th October 2019
Final Interview - Wednesday 30th October 2019
The long-list interviews will include Council Officers. As a Chief Officer post the final interview will be with Councillors who sit on the Council’s Appointments Committee.
Sevenoaks – Working for Equality. We welcome applications from all sections of the community.
Sevenoaks District Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
