Salary Band D £31,077 per annum – Initial 6 month Interim with the possibility of extension.
A generous annual leave allowance of 27 days (plus an additional 5 days depending on having Continuous Local Government Service).

The Role
Working with the Head of Direct Services and our new Commercial Operations and Trading Manager the Commercial Officer will play a key role in helping us shape and develop our commercial future.
The role itself is varied and your duties will range from researching and presenting business opportunities, to managing budgets and dealing with escalating project issues. Ideally you should have a background in sales and marketing and have good project management skills.
You will be joining the Council at an exciting time and we are looking for a confident individual who has excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and who isn’t afraid to challenge existing approaches.
The Team
The Commercial Officer will be line managed by the Commercial Operations and Treading Manager but will also benefit from the skills and experience of the Head of Direct Services.
Direct services has approximately 110 operational staff working in various areas including waste management, street cleansing, deport management, transport, workshops and environmental enforcement.

How to get to us:
Sevenoaks is only half an hour from central London by train. You will be based at the Dunbrik Depot, 2 Main Road, Sundridge, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN14 6EP however due to the current pandemic and current Government advice at the time of advert the role will require a combination of both remote and office based working. A free staff car park is available on site.
