Internal Auditor
Are you a proactive Auditor who is keen to develop their skills?
This is a rewarding role where you will have a varied plan of work across a range of services at both Councils. You will plan, deliver, report and follow up on your audits in line with Public Sector Internal Audit Standards and best practice.
The Role
Welcome to the Audit Partnership!
Formed in 2010, the Audit Partnership provides audit, risk, counter fraud and consultancy services to Dartford Borough and the Sevenoaks District Councils.
This role is key to the delivery of Council services to ensure that all processes run effectively and are productive, through the provision of value-added and insightful assurance and consultancy.
You will manage your own workload, dealing with an assortment of audits and therefore you will need to be well organised with a commitment to quality, accuracy and meeting deadlines.
As a committed team player you need good written and verbal communication skills. Dealing with clients is an important part of the role and you must be dedicated to providing high quality customer service.
As part of your development here at Sevenoaks, you will develop your skills through formal and informal training, working on complex projects with more senior staff and coaching opportunities.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- 3 A-levels or equivalent
- Part or fully qualified IIA, AAT, CIPFA or ACCA, or other relevant qualification (e.g. Risk Management, Counter Fraud, CISA) or significant relevant experience
- Knowledge of Public Sector Internal Audit Standards (PSIAS)
