Electoral Outreach Canvasser/Office Assistant
f you have an interest in local democracy and elections and want to help everyone use their opportunity to vote we are recruiting to three posts to help us keep the electoral register for Sevenoaks District up to date.
As an Electoral Outreach Canvasser you’ll be helping people to register to vote. You’ll visit local care homes and contact people at their homes and encourage them to complete their electoral registration so they can vote in local and national elections.
By joining our friendly elections team they’ll be opportunities to learn all about the elections process, whilst also assisting with our administration and when time allows helping the Council’s scanning team to digitise a range of records from across our services.
If you have excellent customer service and communication skills, enjoy meeting people and enjoy working as part of a team we’d love to hear from you. You’ll also need a driving licence, good IT skills and be happy working to deadlines.
Starting salary will be dependent upon skills and experience, and this post is politically restricted.
