Healthy Lifestyle Adviser (One You) initial contract for 2 years
Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of local people? This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new West Kent 'One You' health improvement service. We are looking for an Adviser to deliver this healthy lifestyle work throughout the Sevenoaks District area for an initial two year period.
Working as part of an energetic and innovative communities team, you will support local people to make positive lifestyle, social and wellbeing changes to improve their overall quality of life.
Whilst working alongside local health professionals and key voluntary sector partners, you will carry at group and 1:1 health and wellbeing assessments and follow ups to record outcomes. You will deliver a range of targeted outreach healthy living interventions on weight management, physical activity, healthy eating and brief intervention on smoking cessation, alcohol intake (following appropriate training), and attend community events to promote the service.
We need someone with a proven track record of understanding the needs of customers and delivering high quality customer care, as well as working knowledge and experience within a health related service. You must be a positive outcome-oriented person, and be able to influence and motivate others particularly around behaviour change. Drive, creativity and strong communication skills are essential.
You will be part of an exciting West Kent health partnership, across Sevenoaks District, Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge & Malling, and with Kent County Council through the integrated 'One You Kent' service.
