Refuse Charge Hand/ Site Monitoring Officer
Sevenoaks District Council provides Refuse Collection across the District through its Direct Services Organisation. Sevenoaks Direct Services is proud to have high standards in collection of refuse, recycling and street cleaning services. You will be responsible for assisting the day to day supervision of the Refuse team.
You will support the refuse supervisor to achieve safe and efficient completion of the residual waste and recycling collection rounds and assist in organising and assign resources to ensure required standards are met, service requests and complaint numbers are reduced and response times maintained or improved.
You will also undertake regular site monitoring of each collection crews activities to check for compliance with safe working practices and risk assessment controls.
You will have good knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and related legislation. Your written and spoken communication skills will allow you to communicate effectively with customers, crews, managers, and other supervisors.
